Job Description

  • Diagnosing problems and replacing vehicle engine parts, steering, transmissions and braking systems
  • Checking vehicle lighting system
  • Performing preventive maintenance on all company vehicles
  • Test-driving vehicles, testing tanks
  • Maintaining detailed vehicle service records
  • Adhering to vehicle inspection checklist
  • Maintaining parts inventory
  • Ensuring cleanliness/safety of garage
  • Conducting monthly tire inspections
  • Attending safety meetings and training
  • Completing any other work assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with Class A CDL or ability to obtain (not required but helpful)
  • Aptitude for math
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components or post-secondary education in diesel technology
  • Physically fit and able to lift 80-100 lbs.
  • Have own tools, steel-toed boots
  • Detail oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills with team and vendors
  • Good organizational skills
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in troubleshooting
  • Skilled with computerized diagnostic tools
  • No fear of confined space/heights
